A new architectural appearance opens the way to the knowledge of ancient Bilyar.

KEY CHALLENGES AND STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES IN PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

IMBALANCE
The flow of tourists and pilgrims visiting the reserve (up to 110 thousand per year) and participants in the youth forum «Sәlәt» (up to 15 thousand per year) is 60 times higher than the population of Bilyarsk

BURDEN
Guests create a huge burden on the territory of the reserve, primarily the sanctuary «Sacred spring», but practically do not look into the village located 4 km and do not contribute to the growth of its economy

RESTRICTIONS
Development projects of recent years, including in the field of tourist infrastructure, have not been implemented, since Bilyarsk and its environs are located on the territory of the reserve, and any new construction requires complex and expensive approvals

UNEMPLOYMENT
One of the main problems of the village is the lack of jobs in Bilyarsk, many residents are forced to go to work in other settlements

In the central part of the cluster is a community center. The leitmotif is the prototypes of the architecture of Bilyar and Bulgar, including the White Chamber public bath.

In the public center there is a reception, a cafe, a rental center, workshops, storage of equipment, a gift shop, a bathroom, a summer cinema and summer infrastructure, for example, a swing.

The facade of the visit center follows the outlines of the traditional Bulgarian yurts. However, it does not copy them, but develops the methods found: the shape is modified, representing an ellipse in plan.

Despite the fact that the visitor center is located on an elevation, its appearance does not violate the protected landscape of Mount Khuzhalar Tava.
‍
Visitors to the center will be able to order an excursion, take a map of the area, buy souvenirs, coffee and snacks, rent equipment, and also participate in master classes. The visit center is an object of year-round use.
