The building of the Château Gütsch Hotel (Chateau Gütch) in Lucerne is an example of atypical for Switzerland eclectic architecture designed under the influence of romanticism. The image of the hotel is a fortress of children's fairytales, in which a variety of elements are combined, sometimes contradicting each other: large internal spaces and toy cloves on the fortress walls, modern comfort and medieval decoration of the facades. The fabulous image of the hotel prompted the idea of creating a collection of sculptures on an empty territory nearby, telling a fairy tale through the works of modern artists.
The park space consists of three connected terraces and one platform located on the north side of Gyutchban. As you move through the park from the entrance in front of the viewer, a variety of view paintings unfold in succession, dynamically changing views of the park, sculptures and the main attraction of the place - the view platform.
Sculptures are selected and installed as a panopticum in which different directions of modern art are presented. The collection has sculptures made of modern materials: polymers and plastics, steel, paper, as well as sculptures promoting an environmentally friendly approach and made of wood.
LA Collection'Air Art Park becomes an open-air gallery where objects of modern art are exhibited in the natural environment. Each object has its own «force field» and needs its own specific space. Elements of landscape architecture allow you to designate such spaces, organize their sequence and interaction. Today the garden is completely aimed at the surrounding landscape, with the advent of sculptural works on its territory it acquires internal depth, visual and metaphysical.
All works were created by Russian sculptors, among them there are both masters and young talented authors who begin their creative career. A unique collection was formed specifically for LA Collection'Air. The work was selected taking into account the local landscape and panorama of the city of Lucerne.
