TERRITORY DEVELOPMENT
SHAKHOVSKAYA EMBANKMENT: LYSVEN POND EMBANKMENT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
Lysva, Perm region
2021
Area: 4.9 Ha
Program: All-Russian competition for the improvement of towns and historical settlements
Reboot the empty area near the water with the creation of recreational space with modern conditions for recreation, walking, cultural leisure, community meetings and cultural events, which becomes the main function of the embankment
We have connected the two destinations by identifying a quiet recreation area, a beach and areas for mass events and cultural leisure
TWO MAIN REQUESTS
embankment in nature with dense landscaping, for walking, relaxing in nature, safe contact with water and contemplation of beauty
embankment as a public space for all - street by the water - urbanized space with polyfunctional filling: games, fishing, dancing for senior citizens, playgrounds for children, concerts, ramp, cafe, temporary trade
The space in front of the museum was decided in conjunction with the house of Count Shuvalov: it acquires the features of a classical party garden.
A small area in front of the estate serves to organize temporary exhibitions, temporary trade and events on holidays. In addition, it is an excellent view platform with which you can see the Lysvensky pond and the landscaped embankment.
The territory of the designed city beach has historically been used as a place for swimming. In addition to the necessary space for beach recreation, the site contains two piers that create leisure variability by the pond.
A viewing station rises on the beach, overlooking stunning sunsets. Near it is a small platform for yoga, dancing or eco-charging, including with age groups.
A nearby cafe will provide visitors to the Shakhovskaya embankment with a hearty lunch, and playing petank in the fields opposite the cafe will diversify the everyday life of people of Lysva and city guests.

Platform for events
One of the symbols of the city is a unicorn. The Unicorn children's game complex will become a landmark object for the designed embankment and the city as a whole.

Urban planning analysis and feasibility study is completed by !Erfolg
In the project of the Lysvensky pond embankment, great attention is paid to preserving the proximity of the territory to nature. Walking paths, carefully integrated into landscaping, form a promenade and create organized approaches to water. New landings continue the pine line already existing on the territory of the embankment, separating the resting area from the noise and dust of the roadway.
Friendly through arbors with seats on one side are reliable enough to protect against wind and rain, and open enough on the other to create an atmosphere of trust and tranquillity, as well as to promote dialogue between visitors and the surrounding landscape.
