The dilapidated building of the weaving factory in the abandoned industrial district of St. Petersburg is the initial data from which we began work. To revitalize the building, we proposed the concept of updating this place, through the creation of infrastructure, converting the factory into a creative cluster.

Having completed the «concept of activity», we came up with and designed key public spaces. After a complex of works and the transformation of the ruins of the factory into the Art Center «Tkachi», the place became famous in the city.

The program of the Art Center influenced the formation of the image of the district in the cultural and business environment of the city and in 2014 was awarded the attention of the mayor. In two years the factory was restored, infrastructure and main interiors were implemented.

The first floor is completely given to small shops, cafes and showrooms. On the second, third and fourth floors there are offices of larger institutions, a restaurant and workshops.

On the fifth floor an exhibition hall was created, which enjoys constant success. It hosts both art expositions and various educational programs and corporate events.

Each stage has its own key color, as if coming off woven canvases that were once made in this building.
