Work with the park and the embankment is based on an integrated approach and a detailed study of the urban context from the point of view of urban planning, social, functional and economic aspects, connectivity with the urban environment.

The concept of the park provides for the preservation of the cultural heritage of various historical periods of the park - from the time of its foundation by the merchants of Batashev brothers in the middle of the 18th century to the layouts of the Soviet park infrastructure. The concept includes a comprehensive solution to the territory, providing for the interests of the main categories of citizens (including the creation of infrastructure for low-mobility population groups), providing the opportunity for cognitive and cultural and entertainment recreation, sporting events, city events and the creation of an open platform for the exposition of modern art.

In planning the territory it was important to reveal the historical layers of the park, starting from the time the Batashev brothers founded the park. Given, on the one hand, the growth of the park during different periods of its development, on the other hand, requests for modern infrastructure and the creation of modern public space, the planning structure of the park involves three semantic blocks: the «historical» block includes the territory of parterres and bosquet, the «present» block in the central part. All modern services for visitors are concentrated here. The «future» block is a natural area in the northern part of the park, where there is a pine forest and an ecological playground.

The design code is based on identifying and preserving the identity of the place. One of its elements is pavilions with classic parking stackers. The second element is the arch. Based on them, the patterns used in the project are created.
